Chonburi reaches two weeks with no new confirmed cases of Covid-19

Chonburi province, where Pattaya is located, has now reached two weeks in a row with no new confirmed cases of the Covid19 Coronavirus.

Only one patient remains under treatment in the entire province, in the Phan Thong district which is located in Northern Chonburi near the Bangkok Metropolitan Area. The last five patients under treatment in Pattaya were released earlier this week. Pattaya is at three and a half weeks with no new confirmed cases of Covid-19.

Chonburi has had a total of 87 cases since the start of the Covid19 outbreak earlier this year. There were two deaths, both foreign nationals with imported cases from traveling. All have recovered save the one patient in Phan Thong.

40 people are considered under investigation, this catagory includes people who were medical staff working with patients, people being tested for the virus and those living or working near previous confirmed patients.
