Thailand announces seven new cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus, three are imported cases

At this mornings press briefing in Bangkok, the spokesman of the Covid19 Coronavirus Situation Center, Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, announced that Thailand had only seven new cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus nationwide in the past twenty four hours.

Three of those cases were imported, meaning that they came from Thai Citizens returning to the country from overseas and placed immediately in quarantine. Only four cases came from local spread, which were based in Phuket and Krabi.

There were no additional deaths reported.

Thailand has a total of 2,954 cases in total since the start of the Covid-19 Coronavirus Outbreak.

2,687 of those cases have fully recovered, with 22 people being released from hospitals in the past twenty four hours.

There have been 54 deaths since the start of the outbreak in total in Thailand.

Dr. Visanuyothin said today was the first time no new cases were reported involving close contact with previous patients, all cases were found from proactive testing.

Today was the fourth day in a row with cases in the single digits.
