Chonburi announces zero new cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus, six days in a row now

The Chonburi Public Relations Department issued a statement this morning on their social media accounts informing the public that there were zero new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus in the Chonburi area today.

This is the sixth day in a row with no cases in Chonburi. The province of Banglamung, which contains Pattaya, has had no new cases in twelve days. Pattaya City proper has had no cases in fifteen days.

The two cases in the province since April 19 were both in the Phan Thong province, located in the far North of Chonburi near Bangkok and were close contacts of previous confirmed cases.

Chonburi has had a total of 87 cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus since the start of the outbreak, with 71 of those cases recovered and two deaths, both imported cases from foreigners. Fourteen people remain in treatment at hospitals in the Chonburi area for the virus.
