Chonburi Governor releases new order opening home electronic and appliance stores, provides possible glimpse of future

Chonburi-

The Chonburi Governor released several new orders this evening loosening some restrictions and possibly giving a glimpse into the future for the province.

The new orders, which are posted below, state the following in summary:

–The area of the Koh Loi bridge is to be used only for getting on boats not for gatherings or socializing.

-Electronic stores, like computers and electronic devices as well as kitchen appliance stores may reopen. These areas in department stores like Big C may reopen.

-All closure and restriction orders that stretch past the 1st of May are changed to last until April 30th.

-All closure orders will no longer be effective as of May 1st.

The Pattaya News notes there is a lot of discussion online in Thai channels about what exactly this means. It is not a guarantee of re-opening, however, is a hopeful sign for many. It is entirely possible new orders may be issued at or before this date continuing restrictions.

However, by streamlining all closing orders to a single date and making all current orders expire May 1, it does make the overall process to either reopen businesses or institute new streamlined orders easier.
