Thailand announces 33 new confirmed cases of the Covid19 Coronavirus, 3 additional deaths

Thailand has confirmed 33 additional cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus this morning, the lowest number in several weeks. They also confirmed three additional deaths.

Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesman for the Covid19 Coronavirus crisis center in Bangkok, confirmed the updated statistics. The current total number of cases in Thailand is 2,551 since the start of the outbreak.

In Chonburi, which is where Pattaya is located, one additional case, a Thai woman in Banglamung, was confirmed. She is in the process of being contact traced and under investigation. Further details on her were not released.

83 people were discharged, a total of 1,218 people have now fully recovered from the disease.

Today starts an alcohol ban in Chonburi until at least the 30th of April, signed by the Governor of Chonburi yesterday night. This is designed to stop gatherings during the Songkran period which officially begins tomorrow.
