Reminder: Pattaya closure restrictions starts at 2PM today

Pattaya-

After 2PM this afternoon only residents, those who work in Pattaya and individuals granted special permission to pass by Banglamung authorities (such as a flight out of the country with paperwork showing this) will be able to enter and exit Pattaya City proper, which includes Jomtien and Naklua.

We wrote extensively on this yesterday with details, see more here:

Additionally, mask wearing is now mandatory in the Pattaya City area. If you go outside, you must wear a mask. Failure to do so could result in harsh penalties.

This is not a lockdown, people are free to move about within the city during non National Curfew hours. The National Curfew remains from 10PM to 4AM.

Officials have told The Pattaya News that their advice for people who do not want to deal with potential time consuming checkpoints is to stay home and not cross the checkpoints unless absolutely essential.

The closure period is expected to last about three weeks at this time.
