Chonburi announces three new confirmed cases of Covid19 and one additional death

Chonburi Province released its daily update on Covid-19 from the Chonburi Covid19 Situation Center, announcing three additional confirmed cases in the Chonburi area, all three in Banglamung, as well as one additional death.

This brings the total number of cases in Chonburi to 76, with 28 people released and recovered and 2 deaths, the previous being a 48 year old Russian man recently returned from Phuket. The new death is a French national, limited details have been released beyond this information.

61 people remain under investigation as possible cases in the Chonburi area and await further testing.

The three new cases are a 38 year old Russian man, a 46 year old Thai man and a 35 year old Thai woman, all in Banglamung, which is where Pattaya is located, and currently under investigation and contact tracing to determine where they may have got the virus.

These cases come as Pattaya prepares to close down the city tomorrow at 2:00 PM and enforce stricter restrictions on the city to help reduce the spread of the virus. Read more about that here:
