Unidentified man’s body found floating off of Pattaya Beach

Pattaya-
An unidentified male body, believed to be a Thai National, was discovered floating off Pattaya beach this morning by local fishermen.

Lieutenant Colonel Pitak Nernsang of the Pattaya City Police was notified of the body at 11:00 AM in the sea near Lan Poe Naklua, three kilometers from the shore.

Police and forensic investigators believed that the man died at least 12 hours before his body was recovered.

Scratch wounds were found on his forehead, but overall there were no signs of a struggle or potential assault.

Police are working on identifying the body. Local fishermen who spoke with The Pattaya News believed that the man was unemployed and possibly homeless and that he went into the water to attempt to find fish or clams to eat but later drowned.
