At the daily press conference presented by the Thailand Covid-19 Coronavirus Response team, which is in partnership with the Department of Disease Control and the Ministry of Public Health, 51 new confirmed cases of the Covid-19 Coronavirus were announced in Thailand.
This is the lowest daily number since March 20th.
Three additional deaths were also announced. One was a 28 year old man who was infected from a friend of his wife’s, he had no previous existing conditions and died late Saturday Night. The other two were a 51 year old Thai man and a 57 year old Thai woman, both with previous conditions.
This brings the total number cases in Thailand to 2,220 and 26 deaths.
Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesman of the government’s Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration, cautioned that many potential cases of Covid-19 remained under investigation and that the public should be wary of relaxing social distancing or not staying home by seeing numbers begin to go down.
A total of 793 people have been discharged, recovered and released from hospitals.
The 51 new cases included thirteen medical officials at hospitals, showing that doctors and nurses are truly on the front line during the Covid-19 Coronavirus crisis.
