Chonburi has a total of 52 cases of Covid-19, confirms three new additional cases in past 24 hours

The province of Chonburi has confirmed three additional cases of Covid-19 in the area via its social media channels in the past twenty four hours.

This brings the total number of cases in the area to 52, with 2 recovered and no deaths.

The details on the cases are as follows:

The first confirmed case is a person and Chonburi resident who is friends with a worker at a bank in Rayong. The employees husband had caught Covid19 at a Bangkok Boxing event which is to date the single biggest cluster in Thailand.

The second case is a Russian woman recently back from Phuket who was traced to a previous case there.

The third case is still under investigation.

All three cases are being contact traced and all their close contacts are being isolated for fourteen days.

82 possible cases remain under investigation currently, however is worth noting the vast majority of under investigation cases, 818 so far, have proven to be negative for Covid19.
