Thailand announces fifty new confirmed cases of Covid-19 Coronavirus

Bangkok-

The Ministry of Public Health and Department of Disease Control confirmed fifty new cases of the Covid19 Coronavirus at a morning press conference today.

The announcement brings the total in the country to 322.

41 cases are directly connected to prior clusters, primarily from a boxing stadium and nightclub.

The specifics of this group are:

  • 18 connected from the boxing stadium cluster.
  • 5 connected from previous nightclub cluster
  • 12 close contact to confirmed prior patients
  • 6 from previous religious cluster

Nine cases are new:

  • 2 Thais back from England (student and Government officer)
  • 2 visitors from Myanmar
  • A tour guide and a security guard connected to foreigners
  • 3 other cases being fully contact traced.

The country remains in stage two with no widespread local transmission officials stated to the press.
