Water truck drives onto Songtaew in Pattaya, Songtaew driver survives uninjured

Pattaya-

At 11:00 AM this morning a water truck collided with a Songtaew, running up onto the actual vehicle.

The incident took place on Soi 99 in Naklua.

The driver of the ten wheel water truck, 30 year old Somchai Kamkusol, claimed to be driving as normal when the accident occurred and claimed to have no idea how the incident happened.

The driver of the baht bus, however, said that the water truck seemed to be out of control and drove straight at him. Miracously, he was uninjured in the incident despite the water truck driving up onto his actual Songtaew. It took some time and the jaws of life to remove him from the vehicle. There were no passengers on the Songtaew at the time of the accident.

Pattaya Police stated they are going to review CCTV at the scene and took the water truck driver for a blood alcohol test. They also stated to the Pattaya News that they suspected the driver might have fallen asleep.
