Pattaya-
A fire has destroyed a Thai restaurant in Pattaya with damages estimated at just over a million baht this weekend.

Fire fighters were notified of the fire at 3PM yesterday at ‘Tee Yai’ pork soup shop in Soi Nerb Plubwarn.

Fire fighters and The Pattaya News arrived at the restaurant where the fire was heavily ablaze. It took 30 minutes with five fire engines to put out the fire. The restaurant was totally destroyed.

Ms. Pawee Supanichsakun, the restaurant owner, told The Pattaya News that the restaurant was closed. No one was at the restaurant as they went out for a holiday.

The cost of damages is estimated at a million baht and may have been a short circuit. Firefighters are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the fire.
