Future Forward Party found guilty and disbanded by Thai Constitutional Court for accepting illegal donations

Bangkok-

The Thai Constitutional Court ruled this afternoon that The Future Forward Party, an anti military and government opposition party, must be disbanded for accepting illegal loans in the amount of 191 million baht, considered donations, from its billionaire founder.

Additionally, sixteen executives of the party, including founder and billionaire Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, are banned from politics for ten years.

The Future Forward Party did not attend the ruling in person but rather met at their headquarters. They have not officially responded to the disbanding, which is legally binding and final.

The 68 MP’s who are members of The Future Forward party who were not executives and not banned from politics have 60 days to find a new party to remain involved in politics.
