American expat dies after pickup crash in Na Jomtien

A 74 year old American man died after his pickup truck crashed into a tree in Na Jomtien today.

Captain Phongsawat Mormongkunof the Na Jomtien Police was notified of the accident on Sukhumwit Road in Na Jomtien.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find a damaged pickup truck.

Inside, they found an American man, 74, who had sustained serious injuries. As is The Pattaya News general editorial policy, we have with held his name until full notice of his family and Embassy can be given.

He was rushed to a local hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Witnesses told police that the pickup truck lost control at high speed before crashing into a tree.

Na Jomtien police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the accident, including reviewing CCTV in the area.
