Suspects involved in alleged assault on Korean tourist in Pattaya apologize, charges dropped

UPDATE: Suspects questioned after allegedly attacking a Korean tourist in Pattaya

Several suspects have been questioned late last evening after allegedly attacking a Korean tourist who refused to give money to a woman he had met at a beer bar in Pattaya on Tuesday evening.

Here is yesterday’s article:

Mr Sung Ho lm, 57 years old, a Korean national, filed a report to the Bang Lamung Police yesterday morning.

Last night, 25 year old Mr. Naratip Lawan, a taxi motorbike driver and the female involved in the dispute were questioned by the Bang Lamung Police.

Here is the video news from the original incident:

Mr. Sung also presented himself at the station with an interpreter.

Naratip and the woman told police that it was a misunderstanding of communication. The Korean man cannot speak English and they cannot speak Korean. This led to an escalating argument on both sides, they agreed.

Mr. Sung has decided not to take any legal action against them and accepted their apologies for the incident.
