German man dies after jumping from fourth floor condominium in Pattaya, refusing medical assistance

Pattaya –
A 34 year old German man died after arguing with his girlfriend and jumping from his fourth floor condominium in Pattaya this morning, initially surviving the fall and refusing all medical assistance.

Lieutenant Colonel Nattawat Plernjit of the Pattaya City Police was notified of the incident at a condominium in Soi Phra Tamnak 5 at 5:00AM this morning.

Police, emergency responders and The Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find a 34 year old German man sitting on the ground, concious, calm and cognizant and refusing medical assistance and telling medical staff to go away. He had broken at least one arm but was uncooperative with medical staff, police and his girlfriend and refused every attempt for assistance.

He refused every attempt to go to the hospital, despite Sawang Boriboon rescue workers telling him he must go due to likely internal bleeding. Unfortunately, he later collapsed and died at the scene. It is believed internal bleeding caused his death. His name was withheld by the Pattaya News pending embassy and family notification.

He refused assistance.

Ms. Srijantra Kosaidil, 26 years old, who is the German man’s girlfriend and lived with him was crying and said they were arguing before the German man jumped from the fourth floor. Alcohol was a factor in the argument according to police at the scene. The exact reason for the argument was not given.

Police review the scene after the German man passed away a short time after refusing medical assistance on February 17, 2020.

Pattaya police are continuing their investigation and informing the embassy today.
