Korat-

The Deputy Minister of Commerce visited victims of yesterdays mass shooting in a shopping mall in Korat today and pledged to assist employees, owners and mall management to assist throughout a difficult recovery process.

The Minister conceded that it was going to be a difficult journey but that the community and staff needed to show they are not afraid. The Ministry will be meeting with management from Terminal 21 to develop a plan to provide emotional and personal support for the thousands of employees of the mall, many who spent up to seventeen hours in hiding during the shooting.

The Minister will also be working to reassure the community that the mall is safe and that the government is working to support all those affected.

As forensic investigators continue to comb the mall, it currently remains closed.
