138 evacuated Thai Citizens from Wuhan will remain in quarantine until at least February 19

BANGKOK (NNT) – Although 3 Thai citizens missed the flight to return from Wuhan, 138 arrived in Thailand safe and sound on February and remain in quarantine at the Naval base near Sattahip and U-Tapeo airport.

Three Thai Nationals were not allowed to board the plane to Thailand as two had a fever and one had overstayed their Chinese Visa.

The 138 returnees are being quarantined at a naval base near the U-Tapao International Airport. Six were found with a fever upon arrival to Thailand and sent to a special quarantined Naval hospital for tests and treatment.

The evacuees are quarantined at a controlled facility for at least 14 days (with psychiatrists to monitor their mental health).

Relatives of the returnees can contact them through video calls. The returnees are provided with a controlled leisure area where they can relax during this quarantine period, complete with complimentary food, television, music and entertainment.

The expected date for the evacuees to receive clearance and go home is the 19 of February.
