Pattaya –
A serial gold and bag snatcher who preyed on both Thai nationals and foreign tourists has been arrested in Pattaya yesterday, January 30, 2020.

The Pattaya City Police reports they have arrested a 25 year old Thai man named ‘Beer’ in Soi Nern Plub Wan. An ongoing investigation and inspection of CCTV helped nab the suspect who had been involved in many snatch and grab thefts in Pattaya.

He had snatched a gold necklace from a Thai woman in Soi Naklua 16/2 on Monday this week.

On Sunday, he had snatched a gold necklace from a Russian woman on vacation in North Pattaya.

On January 21 he had snatched a bag from a Russian woman in Soi Naklua 16/2.

On January 19 he had snatched a bag from a Thai woman in Soi Buakhao in Central Pattaya.

The Pattaya news had previously reported on most of these incidents.

He is facing multiple charges of theft. Police have found that Beer was just released from jail for theft last year. He has admitted to the crimes.

The Pattaya News has reported on several bag snatchings over the past few months and the suspect was behind several of them, according to police. Two other suspects were arrested late last month.
