Pattaya Rescue Workers remind residents to move out of the way for ambulances after viral incident caught on camera

Pattaya –
Pattaya rescue workers requested road users to move out of the way when they see ambulances with lights and sirens on in Pattaya yesterday, January 6th, 2020.

A video clip of what appears to show a pickup truck not moving for an ambulance went viral on social media over the weekend in Pattaya.

35 year old Mr. Thanaphon Deepongfai who is a Sawang Boriboon rescue worker explained the situation to The Pattaya News last evening.

Mr. Thanaphong Deepongfai explains the incident to the Pattaya News.

“I was on the way this weekend in Pattaya to help a foreigner who was injured after his motorbike hit a dog.”

“A pickup truck was in the right lane and did not move for the ambulance after several attempts before another vehicle slowed down and let our ambulance go. We tried to switch lanes and as the video shows the truck still did not move out of the way and appeared to be purposely hindering our efforts to reach a victim in need.”

“Please move when you see ambulances.”, Mr Thanaphon added.

Police stated that they will be looking into the registration and identity of the driver who did not move for Police.
