Pattaya –
A local house keeper has sustained serious injuries after being attacked by two Rottweilers in Pattaya this afternoon.
The Pattaya City Police were notified of the incident at 2:30PM at a real estate company on Pattaya Second Road near Jomtien.
Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the injured party 38 year old Ms. Sirikun Sumapan.
She was bleeding heavily with several bite wounds. She was rushed to a local hospital.
Ms. Sirikun told rescue workers that she was working as a house keeper at the company. She had been on a holiday over New Year and just returned when the dogs attacked her. It is unclear if the dogs belong to someone at the company or a neighbor or if they are street dogs that live nearby, police are investigating to determine the exact ownership. When rescue workers responded several dogs were seen in the immediate vicinity of the real estate office.
Ms. Sirikun managed to escape and called for help. She was assisted by the owner of the company who was present at the time of the attack and whose name was not given by police. He may be the legal owner of the dogs according to police although that investigation is continuing.
Police told the Pattaya News they are seeking further potential legal action over the attack.
