Hello and Happy New Year to all of our readers, wherever they may be all over the world.
As we enter 2020 The Pattaya News looks back over the growth and momentum we have had over the past year and the enormous pride we have in serving our local community.
We felt for a long time that there was a gap in the Pattaya area in terms of focusing little on actual news or what was happening and provided little relevance to the regular Pattaya visitor. We wanted to fill this gap.
We are happy to say that with just over a year of bringing you The Pattaya News seriously we have started to change that mindset and will continue to do so in 2020.
We know you have many choices on where to get your news and we appreciate that you have chosen us. We will continue to bring you unbiased, professional and relevant news that is in the moment and impactful for residents, expats and tourists.
In the past year we have expanded our team significantly, hired translators and a video team, expanded our in the field reporters, videographers and photographers, launched Pattaya Unplugged and The Pattaya News Thai version successfully and built closer partnerships with our local community.
We have built a partnership with the local Japanese Association and are working to get our news translated in more languages early in 2020. We have built solid relationships with City Hall, the Pattaya police and rescue services and continue those partnerships to bring you more news in the upcoming year.
We have also started expanding on carefully curating relevant National content from Thailand and providing our readers a view of what is happening in the country as a whole.
We aim to continue our success in 2020 on our journey to becoming the number one regional news source and eventually a leading source for National news.
In the coming year expect to see more quality in depth reporting, more followup on hot stories, an expansion of our video news in English, more interviews and support of local businesses and helping to promote Pattaya in a positive manner. This comes as we expand our media side at Pattaya Unplugged to be the best information source locally.
We are a small, independent team and we hope you and your loved ones have a terrific and safe New Year. We hope you take these holidays to enjoy the finer things in life and wish you happiness in all that you do.
