Police investigate leaked footage of CCTV in Thai Prison in South Thailand

Technology crime suppression police are investigating how the living conditions of prisoners inside the Lang Suan district prison, in Thailand’s southern province of Chumpon, were exposed on social media.

Pol Col Siriwat Deepor, deputy commander of the Technology Crime Suppression Division, said today that he had received a complaint, as well as some evidence from prison officials and a demand for an investigation, after footage, depicting life inside the prison, was posted on YouTube.

He said that police will seek information from the company which installed the CCTV system, to find out how the footage was leaked and whether it was hacked or was an inside job.
