Pattaya –
A finless porpoise was found dead near Pattaya Beach last night.
Rescue workers were notified of the dead mammal at 10:00 PM at Krathing Lai beach near Soi Sukhumwit 6/1.
They arrived at the beach to find the dead porpoise floating about 300 metres from the shore. Several rescue workers and volunteers helped bring the animal to shore.
It was a Finless Porpoise aged around one year old and weighed about 40 kilograms.
The dolphin was buried after a brief analysis by local marine officials as it had already started to be rot. The exact cause of death was not determined.
