Pattaya –
A taxi motorbike driver has died while a passenger has sustained serious injuries after a road accident in Pattaya early this morning.

Rescue workers were notified of the accident at 5:30AM on Sukhumwit Road near Baan Sukhawadee.

They arrived at the scene to find the body of a taxi motorbike driver, 51 year old Mr. Panupong Taithaphon.

His passenger, 39 year old Ms. Sirimon Tammalek, had sustained serious injuries. She was rushed to a local hospital.

Witnesses said the taxi motorbike driver appeared to have fallen unconscious while he was driving. Rescue workers believe he had a pre existing medical condition which caused this.
