Two Thai women have lost items and cash in total valued at about 100,000 baht after they were drugged by an unknown man in Pattaya last weekend.
23 year old Nistha Kruttanit said the incident happened on Sunday. Ms. Nistha and her friend were working as hotel reception when the man, who was well dressed and had many gold accessories asked her to go out for a drink. She said the man was very charming and persuasive. The man was not a guest at the hotel.
She and her friend agreed and they first went out to eat and then brought the man back to their room for some more drinks.
He told them that this was his first time visting Pattaya. The man offered them to take some drinks he poured for them. Afterwards, both woman passed out. It is suspected the drinks were heavily drugged. He can be seen in the photos below. She stated the man speaks fluent Thai but they are not positive he is Thai and could be a foreigner.
They woke up and found that their gold necklaces and cash had been stolen which were valued at about 100,000 baht. The man had fled.
They have reported the incident to the Pattaya City Police where police are searching for the suspect.
