Rayong Police continue crackdown on vaping and vaping equipment

At 7:30 PM this evening, Sunday the first of December, police in Rayong, just to the South of Pattaya, held a press conference announcing a successful raid on a local shop, called GK shop, for selling vaping devices and equipment against Thai law.

The raid was led by Major General Yannapong Somapha on the GK shop in Village number six in Rayong after a complaint from a concerned citizen.

The raid this evening discovered Mr. Tawich Buwaya, whose age was not given, working in the shop. Dozens of devices and liquid used for electronic vaping were discovered in the shop. Mr. Buwaya was arrested and will face multiple legal charges.

Thailand has some of the strictest laws in the world against vaping and Thai police state they will continue to crack down on both suppliers and users. Officially, they state the ban is in effect for public health reasons.
