Sriracha-

A 22 year old Thai woman, allegedly upset that her ex boyfriend did not want to get back together with her, shot him in the left leg yesterday and then shot herself in the back of the head in front of the Harbor Office in Sriracha.

The incident occurred at 1:00 PM on November 26th, 2019 in front of the main Harbor Office of Sriracha. Col. Thianchai Nuengchamnong, Investigative officer at the Sriracha police station was the first to arrive at the scene. Rescue workers were also called by harbor office staff.

In front of the main entrance to the office was Miss Wanwisa Akkkaravipas, 22 years old, seriously injured from a self inflicted bullet wound to her head. She was still alive but was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Mr. Chanwit Sukkul, 39, was found nearby with a bullet wound to his left leg in serious pain. He was taken to a local hospital and is currently recovering from his injury. A 9mm firearm was found at the scene and taken as evidence.

Relatives of Miss Wanwisa told the Thai media that the two, who both worked at the harbor, had been dating for some time but broken up about two months ago. They had allegedly gone to lunch together earlier in the day to speak but Mr. Chanwit allegedly told Miss Wanwisa that he was no longer interested in her.

It was at this point that she called Mr. Chanwit, who is a crane operator at the harbor, to meet her in front of the harbor office where she worked at a restaurant. Upon his arrival she shot him and then shot herself according to the mother of Miss Wanwisa and her stepfather who spoke to the press yesterday afternoon.

Police continue to investigate the incident and will interview Mr. Chanwit once he fully recovers from his injury.
