Motorcycle thief steals expensive iPhone from Russian tourist, second tourist robbery in two days in Pattaya

Police are hunting for a suspect who snatched an iPhone valued at about 25,000 baht from a Russian tourist’s hand last night.

The Bang Lamung Police was notified of the incident at 8PM last night in Soi Naklua 12.

Police arrived at the scene to find 30 year old Ms. Kotlova Irina, Russian national.

She told police that while she was walking and holding her new iPhone10, a suspect who was on a motorbike had stopped beside.

The suspect snatched her phone and sped away. She called for help from local Thai people nearby.

Police are continuing the hunt for the suspect to face legal action and reviewing CCTV in the area.

Meanwhile yesterday another Russian tourist had two expensive necklaces snatched by a thief in Pattaya in front of her young daughter. Police are still searching for that thief. It is unknown if there is any connection.
