Man arrested after claiming to be police officer and extorting money from a Burmese woman in Pattaya

A man has been arrested for claiming to be police officer and extorting money from a Burmese woman in Pattaya.

A Burmese woman has reported to the Pattaya City Police station yesterday morning for allegedly being extorted money by a man who claimed to be a police officer.

Yesterday evening the Pattaya City Police have arrested a 57 year old Thai man, Mr. Tanadet Yimyam from Suphanburi at a house in Soi Thep Prasit.

Police seized 11,000 baht cash and two mobile phones from him. He has been charged with fraud by claiming to be a police officer.
