Pattaya Triathalon brings over 1,500 athletes to Pattaya to compete, puts focus on sports tourism in Pattaya.

This morning, (10 November 2019) at the Bali Hai Cape Pier (South Pattaya), Mr. Sonthaya Khunpluem, Pattaya City Mayor, oversaw the competition and signalled the release of athletes for the “TOYOTA PATTAYA TRIATHALON 2019 Triathalon Exhibition by MAMA” celebrating 60 years of tourism in Pattaya “with an army of more than 1,500 athletes from all over the world”.

              Pattaya City in collaboration with Chonburi Province and the Tourism Authority of Thailand organized the Pattaya Triathalon or PATTAYA TRIATHALON 2019 to help for local development and upgrade the level of domestic sporting competitions to international standards. It is also an opportunity for Thai athletes to show their skills and the opportunity to test the skills as well as promoting tourism in the area and underscores the importance of Pattaya as being truly one of the major Eastern regions of sports tourism.
             For the TOYOTA PATTAYA TRIATHALON 2019 by MAMA, athletes must prove their strength. Beginning with swimming, biking and running, the competition is divided into 4 categories consisting of Standard S2 Distance type (750m swimming / 20km cycling / 5km running), sprint distance type (750m swimming / 20km biking / 5km running) and Team Relay Standard S2 team type in which the atmosphere is bustling. There are runners from all over the world interested in joining more than 1,500 people.
