Chonburi –
A homeless elderly woman in Chonburi is hoping to see her son again.

The elderly woman and a homeless male friend have lived in Baan Suan – Settakit 16 Soi 1- in Mueang Chonburi for quite some time now. They are living in a shack made from garbage and items found on the street

.

The woman, aged 62 years old, Ms. Pranee Wongprajan, is living in horrific conditions and only owns one pair of clothes. Flies and other insects were found around her according to Thai media reporters.

She is living with 59 year old Mr. Tongchup Fuengpanya, who is a friend and fellow homeless resident.

The elderly woman wants to see her 30 year old son again who she believes is in the Chonburi area which is why she is staying here. She is completely broke and living off what she and her companion can scavenge. She is also nearly blind.

Staffe from the Baan Suan Municipality have given donations to help them. People can donate food and clothes for them directly at their modest street dwelling as well, local aid workers stated.

Police are searching for her son, who according to her is the last living member of her family and they are attempting to give her additional assistance.

Her situation was originally posted on Thai social media and we have translated it into English as she searches for her family and continues to live on local streets in our area.
