Local residents and vendors ask for action on rain eroded Pattaya Beach

Pattaya –
Recent heavy rains on Pattaya Beach have caused significant deep erosion and holes that have now been in place for nearly a week according to local residents and beach vendors.

Earlier this week, water was flowing to Pattaya beach into the sea after heavy rains where the beach near Central Festival Pattaya had been washed away.

The erosion was found to be about about one metre deep. Tourists were avoiding the beach according to local vendors.

Beach vendors said this erosion has happened nearly a week ago. It is very dangerous especially at night time. They are asking for city officials to expedite work in fixing the problem.

Additionally, heavy work on water drainage systems have eroded the sidewalk and limited walking space, the concerned citizens told the media.
