Pattaya to place a temporary hold on underground cable projects due to traffic problems and road barrier accidents

Pattaya City has submitted a legal document to place a temporary hold on an underground cable project

Pattaya –
The Pattaya City has submitted a legal document to place a temporary hold on an underground cable project due to traffic problems.

The meeting held yesterday was led by the Pattaya City Administrative Deputy Chief Officer Sutham Phetket.

Mr. Sutham said the project is being contracted on Sukhumwit Road, Central Pattaya Road and Pattaya Sai 3 Road.

“The work has caused lots of traffic. We have submitted a legal document to hold the project until they can suggest another way that causes less traffic and reduces accidents.” Mr. Sutham told the local Pattaya media.

“The issue will be raised again to find the right solution and to solve traffic problems.” Mr. Sutham also stated.

Additionally, the barriers used have caused multiple accidents resulting in serious injuries over the past few weeks. The water drainage construction work will, however, continue.
