Pattaya City Police Chief passes away from sudden heart attack

Pattaya –

The Pattaya City Police Chief Col. Atinan Nuchanart has died from a heart attack this morning while he was on the way to a meeting.

Col Atinan, 59 years old, was the Pattaya City Police Acting Chief and new in position who died at the Chonburi Hospital today from a heart attack.

This morning he and his team were heading by car to Bangkok from Chonburi for a meeting. He complained of a chest pain before he fell unconscious in the car.

He was rushed to the Chonburi Hospital by other officers in the vehicle. He has been pronounced dead at 1:49PM in the afternoon.

Col Atinan was born in Lopburi. He was the previous Police Chief of Mueang Chonburi Police Station.

He was later transferred as the Pattaya City Police Acting Chief on September 2. He had only been in position a little over a month.

This has been a rocky year for Pattaya City in terms of it’s top police post as the previous police Chief was removed from position pending an investigation into large drug raids at local discos open after legal closing hours.

The Pattaya News sends our condolences to his Co workers and family members. A full funeral for the well respected veteran officer should take place in the near future, officials said, but has not been announced at this time.
