Motorbike driver seriously injured after crashing into road construction barriers in Pattaya

Pattaya –

A female motorbike driver has sustained serious injuries after crashing into road construction barriers in Pattaya early this morning.

Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rescue workers were notified of the accident at 3:30AM on Sukhumwit Road southbound.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the damaged motorbike on the road. Nearby they found 35 year old Suttika Butsarakorn. She had sustained serious injuries. She was rushed to a local hospital.

There was no witnesses at the scene. However, police are checking CCTV footage nearby to find the cause of the accident.

The Pattaya news notes that this is at least the fourth accident of locals crashing into the barriers since the construction began for road drainage work earlier this year. Critics online claim that the areas should be better lit and marked.
