Motorbike driver seriously injured after running into bus in Pattaya

Pattaya –
A motorbike driver has sustained serious injuries after running into a bus in Central Pattaya.

The Pattaya City Police were notified of the accident at 5:30AM on Sukhumwit Road yesterday morning. Police and Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rescue workers rushed to the scene.

At the scene they found the damaged motorbike crashed into the back of the bus. The injured, 24 year old Ms. Jiraprapa Chinnawong was found unconscious and bleeding heavily. She was rushed to Bang Lamung Hospital.

The bus driver, 37 year old Watchara Summarin, said he was slowly driving backward onto the road from the station. A staffer helped him to look up for other vehicles on the road at the back of the bus.

The motorbike driver was driving with high speed and  slammed into the bus. It is unclear why the staffer assisting him did not notice her approaching.
