Pickup truck driver injured after crashing into power pole in Pattaya

Pattaya –
A pickup truck driver has sustained injuries after colliding with a power pole in Pattaya early this morning.

Capt Nakarat Nonsrilart of the Pattaya City Police was notified of the accident at 1:30AM near the Rubber Land tourist attraction on Sukhumwit Road.

Police and Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan rescue workers arrived at the scene to find the damaged pickup truck crashed into a gate after hitting the pole.

55 year old Mr. Boonchorb Puangpan, the driver, had sustained only minor injuries. He was taken to a local hospital.

Witnesses said there was a lot of rain at the time of the accident. The pickup truck was allegedly driving with high speed before colliding with the power pole.

However, police are continuing their investigation for further legal action.
