Hang on…more heavy rain likely coming to Pattaya area

Continuous rains have been forecast for the lower Central, the East and the upper South as a monsoon trough extends across to form a low-pressure cell over Cambodia, according to the Thailand Meteorological Department on Wednesday.

The eastern and southern regions may face heavy rains in some areas. The department has urged locals to keep themselves abreast of the weather conditions.

Isolated heavy rains are expected Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong, Phang Nga and Satun provinces while only light showers are forecast for the North and Northeast.

The Andaman and Gulf of Thailand will likely see waves two to three metres high while areas facing thunderstorms could see waves three metres high. Small boats have been advised to stay out of the waters in the Andaman and Gulf of Thailand until Thursday (September 19).
