Foreign woman caught on seven year overstay in Pattaya

Naew Na and Thaivisa reported that Chonburi immigration and the tourist police had arrested a Turkmenistan woman and a Russian man on long overstays in Thailand on Friday the 13th of September.

The 37 year old woman was stopped outside a hotel in Pattaya on Friday and was found to have overstayed by 2,675 days.

Also on Friday a 45 year old Russian man on overstay of 683 days was arrested in the Pratumnak area of the resort.

The Pattaya News notes that both were random checks of passports in the area and that it is Thai law to have a proper copy of your passport and entry stamp with you at all times.
