Gold snatcher on motorbike arrested in Chonburi, Banglamung –

A gold snatcher on a motorbike in Nongplalai has been arrested yesterday in South Pattaya. The arrest was led by Banglamung Police, Inspector of Investigation Lt Col Kanchit Teanjam and Sub-Inspector of Investigation Capt Jakkrit Jantakam.

They arrested the suspect, 22-year-old Thammasart Kokaew. Police seized a gold necklace valued at about 10,000 baht. The victim is 22-year old Wimonrat Sukpong who is a vendor in a local market.

Lt Col Kanchit told The Pattaya News, “On August 9 the suspect was driving on a motorbike and tailed the victim, who was also driving her own motorbike.”

“The suspect snatched the gold necklace and sped away. We have checked CCTV footage and identified the suspect before we arrested him.” He continued.

The suspect has been charged with theft and is being held by Pattaya Police.
