Driver falls asleep at wheel survives with minor injuries as his vehicle is overturned in Pattaya-

A driver has sustained minor injuries after his vehicle overturned as he fell asleep at the wheel yesterday morning, The Pattaya News reports. The Pattaya City Police were notified of an accident on South Pattaya Road yesterday morning at 8:12 AM.

Police and emergency responders arrived at the scene to find the overturned vehicle on the road.

The male driver, 36-year-old Preecha Chareepohn, was stuck inside the overturned vehicle. Local residents helped him out from the trapped position. He had sustained only minor injuries. The driver told witnesses that he fell asleep at the wheel.

We reported yesterday that the Pattaya Police initially suspected that alcohol may be a factor, however, Mr. Chareepohn tested negative for being under the influence. Police continue their investigation.
