Lebanese tourist stabbed in Pattaya during late night argument with two Thai men

Pattaya-

A Lebanese tourist, Mr. Mohamed El Wazzi, 29 years old, was stabbed in the left side of his body last evening in the early hours of October 27th, 2018 at 2:30AM in front of a Family Mart in Pattaya after a dispute with two Thai men.

Mr. Wazzi, who appeared to had been drinking heavily, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The knife wound had luckily avoided causing him any substantial long term damage.

Witnesses stated Mr. Wazzi was shopping in the Family Mart when he got into a verbal dispute with the two Thai men. Mixed reports said the Thai men came into the Family Mart yelling at Mr. Wazzi and saying he knocked over their motorbike outside drunk and demanded an apology in English and Mr. Wazzi refused.

 When Mr. Wazzi left the shop, the Thai men once again demanded an apology and when Mr. Wazzi refused once more they got into a physical altercation. Mr. Wazzi, who is much larger then both Thai men began to overpower them according to witnesses. At this point one Thai man removed a knife and stabbed him and they fled on a motorbike.

Mr. Wazzi was dazed, intoxicated and incoherent and was unable to give his version of events at the time of the incident. Police will be reviewing CCTV and speaking with Mr. Wazzi today when he recovers at the hospital.
