Distracted Korean Driver on phone slams into trees on Jomtien Beach

Pattaya-

At 11:00 PM last evening, August 27th 2018, a distracted Korean expat, Mr. Kim Dongbae, 49 years old, lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a tree in Jomtien near the Lumpini Condo.

Luckily, there were no injuries other than the tree and some minor damage to Mr. Kim’s vehicle.

Mr. Kim waited for the police and admitted to them that he had been on the phone to his girlfriend when he dropped it by accident. He bent over to pick up his phone and lost control of the car, slamming into the tree. He apologized for the incident and for being distracted.

It is unknown if Mr. Kim will face any charges for the incident.  He was not intoxicated, police stated to The Pattaya News.

The poor tree, however, did not survive the incident.
