Pattaya-
In the early morning hours today, February 7th, Pattaya Police and Crime Suppression Division officers numbering about thirty total raided the popular Kiss Pub, a womans only tomboy club located in Chonburi’s Banglamung district.
This was not the first time the pub has been raided and it has been continually warned not to stay open past the mandated 2AM closing time. However, based on continued complaints from neighbours on loud music and rowdy patrons outside during all hours of the night the police were forced to act again. At 530AM this morning the police officers arrived and were disappointed after the previous warnings at what they found.
Over one hundred patrons were still in the club drinking and dancing. One was underage and two tested positive for drugs as officers drug tested everyone in the club. Additionally, the bar had no license to operate extended hours.
The manager, Pornpansa Thippon, was arrested and charged with selling liquor to a minor and operating a nightclub without the proper licenses. The two patrons who tested positive for drugs were also arrested.
Inspector Police Lt. Colonel Korakot Yeunyong stated that they would advise the Bang Lamung District Office for Licensing to issue a five year closure notice as the pub has had repeated warnings.
