An expected 50,000 motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to attend as Burapha Bike Week roars into Pattaya again Feb. 12-13.
Bike clubs from around world will participate in the annual festival at the Eastern National Indoor Sports Stadium on Soi Chaiyapruek 2.
Prasan Nikaji, president of the Siam Motorbikes and head of the Burapha Motorcycle Club, said the event this year will focus more on music than bikes, with big-name rock acts expected to appear both days.
Pattaya has called upon all four local police stations for their support and security.
Each year before the event bikers drive through Pattaya in a ‘drive for peace’ initiative, and the event raises a tremendous amount of money each year for charity. This drive will be in the days prior to the event and details can be found on their official Facebook.
It is a huge event that is enjoyed not just by bikers but tourists and local Thais, the event runs well into the evening and showcases some of the best show bikes from choppers to Harley Davidson’s in Thailand whilst there is great live music throughout the day. As with all events in Pattaya there is a great selection of food stalls an, of course with an event of this kind plenty of places to grab a beer or two!
We here at The Pattaya News hope you are ready to start your engines and enjoy a great bike week!
