Major fire destroys three warehouses and seven pickup trucks in Phan Thong

Phan Thong –

A huge fire has destroyed three warehouses and seven pickup trucks this morning (November 30th) in the Phan Thong district.

Fire fighters were notified of the blaze at a warehouse on Sukhumvit – Phan Thong Road in the Phan Thong area.

Fire fighting teams arrived at the scene with seventeen fire engines to find the fire was already heavily ablaze. The fire was finally put under control after two hours of water spraying. There were no reports of injuries from the fire.

However, three warehouses which stored plastic foam and another seven pickup trucks parked in the facility were damaged.

Mr. Pitan Pinkaew, 33, told TPN media, “I was waiting to load products onto a pickup truck. The fire started from another pickup truck before spreading to the other vehicles. We were trying to put out the fire but failed.”

The cost of damages is being estimated at three million baht. However, the Chonburi Forensic Police are continuing their investigation to find the exact cause of the fire.
